District of Hope, BC
This three-storey, 40,600 sq. ft. modular building provides 56 studio units and 15 shelter beds, delivering much-needed housing and support services to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the District of Hope.
Featuring 48 modular units, the project integrates Indigenous-informed design elements inside and out, reflecting the culture and heritage of the community it serves. Built to BC Energy Step Code 3 standards, it also complies with BC Housing Design Guidelines and Construction Standards as well as the Shelter Design Guidelines.
ROC Modular was engaged early by general contractor Buttcon as the modular manufacturer and key subtrade, providing pre-construction support and modular constructability reviews to ensure a smooth delivery.
This project was realized through a collaborative partnership between BC Housing, the District of Hope, Fraser Health Authority, Hope and Area Transition Society, and Indigenous partners.
