Pouce Coupe, BC

The North Wind Wellness Centre (NWWC) in Pouce Coupe, BC, is a first-of-its-kind healing facility in Canada. ROC Modular is proud to be the modular supplier for this important two-storey building, which consists of 20 modules providing 40 self-contained studio units as part of a larger Wellness Recovery Centre complex. The centre is designed to deliver a full continuum of addictions recovery services in one location using the Addictions Recovery Community Housing (ARCH) model — combining detox, early recovery housing, treatment and supportive housing. The development uniquely integrates traditional First Nations healing practices with western medical care to support individuals at every stage of recovery. The facility will offer five detox beds, 10 addiction treatment beds, 40 supportive housing units and The Junction, a community hub supporting ongoing recovery through connection and resources. The project is led by Synergy Projects as General Contractor and is delivered in partnership with the Province of BC, the First Nations Health Authority, Northern Health, BC Housing, the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation and the North Wind Wellness Centre Society. Additional support has been provided by the Treaty 8 Tribal Association, the Peace River Regional District and the Village of Pouce Coupe. This innovative modular project is a meaningful step toward advancing culturally aligned, accessible care in Northern BC.
