ABOUT THE PROJECT

Police Seized Vehicle Building Replacement

This highly specialized, single-storey modular facility was delivered using a fully customized modular approach to meet the exact operational needs of the Edmonton Police Service. The building consists of six modules, including one designed as a saw-box to optimize transportation efficiency.

Constructed with a strong focus on durability, security, and long-term performance, the facility incorporates a factory-installed bullet-resistant barrier system, ballistic glass at customer service counters, and specialized 12-inch metal sills paired with triple-pane glazing for enhanced protection and resilience.

The building envelope and roofing system were fully completed in the controlled environment of the manufacturing facility, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency. The roof features a commercial-grade 2-ply SBS modified bituminous membrane assembly with an integrated sloped ISO insulation package, constructed in accordance with Alberta Roofing Contractors Association standards, and finished with durable metal parapet cap flashing for long-term weather protection.

Delivered through a coordinated progressive design-build process, the project was led by Delnor Construction, with design by HCMA Architecture and Design. The client remained highly engaged throughout, resulting in a collaborative process and a facility tailored precisely to their operational needs.

This project demonstrates our ability to deliver complex, purpose-built facilities with efficiency, precision, and uncompromising quality.
