ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Wibaux Residential Housing Project located in rural Montana is a custom-designed hunting lodge that perfectly blends rugged tradition with modern performance. Built for a private client with highly specific needs, the home was designed to capture the timeless character of a Montana lodge while leveraging the efficiency and precision of modular construction.

The residence is comprised of two factory-built modules, set over a site-built main floor that provides a solid foundation for the home. To achieve the client’s vision of a traditional hunting retreat, a site-built pitched roof, and wrap-around porch enclose the building, creating a welcoming lodge atmosphere that integrates seamlessly with the natural surroundings. While the exterior reflects a rustic, time-honored aesthetic, the interior offers modern finishes and a thoughtfully designed layout tailored to the client’s lifestyle.

The home is engineered for long-term performance and comfort. High-efficiency mechanical systems and superior building envelope design reduce operational costs and ensure year-round durability, even in Montana’s demanding climate. This careful integration of modular precision with site-built craftsmanship allowed ROC Modular to deliver a residence that is not only beautiful and functional, but also efficient, resilient, and built to last.

By partnering with ROC Modular, the client also benefited from the favorable USD/CAD exchange rate and tariff-free trade under USMCA, making the project both cost-effective and high-quality.
