Staff Housing Duplex, Fort Chipewyan AB

This modular duplex project consists of four factory-built modules designed specifically for Canada’s North. Intended as staff housing for Parks Canada employees, the units were transported by truck and barge to the remote community of Fort Chipewyan in Northern Alberta.

Designing for extreme northern conditions requires careful planning and robust construction standards. Each unit passed its blower door test at our factory, confirming excellent airtightness and energy efficiency. Enhanced insulation throughout the walls and exterior envelope ensures outstanding thermal performance, keeping occupants comfortable even in harsh winter climates.

Modular construction was chosen as the ideal solution for this remote project. By completing most of the build in our factory, we ensured consistent quality, cost control, and the ability to meet the tight barge delivery schedules that are essential for northern access.
