Large industrial camps in the mining, energy, and remote construction sectors require a significant number of modular units to make up the camps. Camps on site can be completed with a combination of existing modular inventory and new-build modular units where required.
As the energy sector sees a resurgence, the amount of existing inventory is being depleted, and the gaps will become more pronounced. . Enclosed corridors to connect buildings in extreme weather. A kitchen-diner that can actually feed a full crew. A rec room that doesn’t make people want to leave. A proper office block. Make sure you have a modular builder lined up to ensure you have the complete camp infrastructure ready to meet the demand.
When you require additional newly built modular units to fill any gaps where existing fleet is not available, look to ROC Modular. New units can help you stand out and provide a complete package for your camp requirements.
The ROC Approach
We specialize in modular solutions that fill critical gaps within camp developments. Where operators already have core dormitory stock in place, ROC steps in with the custom and supplemental modules that make the whole camp function. They’re designed to integrate with whatever infrastructure is already on site, built to spec, and delivered on the timelines that remote industrial projects actually demand.

Below are examples of modular solutions ROC can deliver to support existing camp developments:
- Enclosed corridors and connection modules for extreme weather environments
- Kitchen-diners and dining facilities built to crew capacity
- Recreation rooms, gyms, and common areas
- Executive and standard dormitory modules
- Mudrooms, dry rooms, and equipment storage
- Office blocks and administrative facilities
- Knock down units for remote or access restricted sites
Each of these builds can be to your provided layouts or designed to be custom. We design and manufacture to the client’s site conditions, layout, and operational requirements.
Project Spotlight: Arctic Corridors, Northern Saskatchewan.

Our client came to us with a specific gap in a larger mining camp build underway in Northern Saskatchewan. The camp already had its core dormitory footprint in development which included four executive dorms, a seven-unit KD, and a three-unit rec room. But the build needed something the existing supply chain couldn’t provide – enclosed, custom-designed Arctic Corridors to connect the camp’s modules through the harsh northern winter.
We designed and manufactured three custom corridor modules purpose-built for the site. The corridors were engineered to integrate directly with the surrounding build, providing enclosed, weather-protected passage between buildings. This was a critical requirement for a camp operating in Northern Canadian conditions.
The project is a representative of how we canoperate in large camp builds. We weren’t the primary supplier of every unit, but as the specialist who delivers the custom pieces that make the rest of the camp work.

Why Operators Choose ROC for Camp Builds
Camp operators and contractors working with existing modular inventory don’t need another full-service supplier. They need a partner who canfill the gaps, build fast, and deliver something that integrates cleanly with what’s already there.
- Custom design capability (not limited to catalogue specs)
- Experience in remote, access-restricted, and extreme-climate sites
- Ability to manufacture supplemental modules that integrate with third-party inventory
- Full scope coverage from functional connectors to full dining and recreation facilities
- Industrial build experience across mining, energy, and large construction sectors
- ROC does not operate a fleet so we will not compete with you
If your camp build has gaps in function, in infrastructure, or in the custom pieces your existing inventory can’t cover, we can fill them.
