Located at 2520 Smith St., Aster Place is a temporary supportive housing building with 40 self-contained units, each with a private washroom and kitchenette. This meaningful project was built for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the City of Richmond. Community Builders Group operate Aster Place and provide residents with support services, including daily meals, life-skills training, employment assistance and counselling, physical and mental-health resources, and access to addiction treatment and recovery services.
Aster Place received an Honourable Mention in the Relocatable Modular Social & Supportive Housing category and was voted BEST IN SHOW by the conference attendees, recognizing its exceptional design and positive impact, at the World of Modular Awards of Distinction 2024.
