ROC Modular is proud to deliver a modular Employee Housing complex, developed for the staff of Pomeroy Lodging in the scenic mountain parks of Kananaskis, AB. Pomeroy Lodging, both the developer and general contractor, utilized ROC Modular's prefabricated modules for the project. This much needed staff housing project will ease the burden for housing in the area needed to successfully host the G7 Summit and also for the longer term will provide permanent affordable housing for local workers for many years to come.
The 24,194 sq. ft., three-storey building features 57 studio units, designed for full-time, permanent employees, along with a common area on the main level. The project consists of 36 modules, built through a streamlined construction process to ensure high-quality housing, meet tight deadlines, and deliver the complex in time for the G7 Summit in 2025.
Designed to harmonize with the natural mountain landscape, the building incorporates earthy tones, a pitched roof, Hardie siding, and timber accents.
The modular construction method enables developers to complete projects quickly and efficiently by constructing units in the factory and assembling them on-site. This approach not only accelerates timelines but also offers enhanced quality control, resulting in cost savings compared to traditional construction methods.
The Pomeroy Lodging Employee Housing complex provides much-needed housing for employees working in the nearby hospitality and spa facilities, while also contributing to the local housing inventory in the Kananaskis Village area.
