The Red Deer Recovery Community Project received the prestigious First Place award in the Permanent Modular Healthcare category, as well as the esteemed Judges Choice Award, the highest honor across all categories, at the World of Modular Awards of Distinction 2024.
The Red Deer Recovery Community Project provides mental health and addiction recovery services, offering long-term holistic residential treatment for Albertans facing these challenges. Comprising 73 modules and spanning 45,477 square feet, the facility boasts 75 treatment beds. Its exterior features a modern, contemporary aesthetic, utilizing a unique design with mixed cladding styles and elevated roof lines to accentuate the building's finish and promote a distinctive modern style with striking black and white contrasts.
Sustainability was a key consideration throughout the project, with features such as a Persist Building Envelope, triple-glazed windows with PVC frames, and a white PVC roof providing high solar reflectance and Heat Island reduction. Every detail was carefully considered to minimize environmental impact and enhance the facility's long-term sustainability.
